Saving Up for Something Special

I want to buy a LinaBell ice cream. I like LinaBell because it looks like a pink fox. It is adorable. It has two big blue eyes. It has one purple flower on her ear. It has a long and soft tail. When the weather is hot, I want to eat the ice cream. I feel cool and happy.

It only can buy in the Disneyland ice cream store. I can’t buy it in the supermarket. I have three ways to earn the money. When I go out, my mum would give me ten dollars. If my exam gets full marks, my dad would give me five dollars. Also, if I help my sister to tidy up her toys, I can earn two dollars. LinaBell ice cream costs sixty-five dollars. I plan to save the money from now to May. It would take five months to earn the money.

Drawing and story by Toby Stella, 6 years old, living in Hong Kong.
