The New Generations

I wake up

Brushed my teeth and took a shower

Dressed up and went to school

And I learned, learned about new stuff I never knew

Even if some lessons are boring

The teacher never let us down, they always cheers us up

They made our future brighter and brighter

Like the stars that shine brightly

We use the knowledge, to make the world a better place

For our future, family, and our new generations!

Poem by Roeun SoDavid, 14 years, living in Cambodia.

The poem is a result of the workshop Creative Writing from the NGO Writing Through, one of the partners of CONNECT. The workshop was given in Anjali House, another partner of CONNECT.
